What We Do

During the year, our Program Committee organizes monthly activities in conjunction with a luncheon or dinner meeting at various locations on Oahu.  Some of these activities involve guest speaker presentations on topics of interest or concern to our members.  Others have included local excursions as well as off-island trips, e.g., to Kilauea Military Camp on the Big Island and to Las Vegas, Nevada for twinning activities with MOAA's Southwest Nevada Chapter.

As part of our community service program, we annually support the local USO, Armed Forces YMCA and military chapel food basket programs with donations.  We conduct a BBQ chicken and sushi fundraising sale each year donating some of the chickens to a local institution that serves the hungry, homeless community.

We have established an Aloha Chapter Scholarship Fund directed by a separate, 5-person, Board of Trustees elected by chapter members.  The first scholarship award of $1000 was awarded in 2004.  We awarded four $1,000 scholarships in 2005 and again in 2006.  In 2007 we raised over $5,150 towards our Scholarship Fund.

We are a group of uniformed services members dedicated to fostering friendly relations among active, retired, and former officers of the uniformed services, their National Guard and reserve components and their spouses.  We also try to provide useful services for our members, their dependents and survivors.

Please see the "How To Reach Us" page to request further information about our chapter.
